Lisa East has made a huge difference to the Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge over the last few weeks and months. Her contribution has been immense in helping to organise this event.
Our objective was to create an event that would help to transform the fortunes of Micklegate in York. It is a very complicated and detailed brief involving 45 teams of racers building their own Soapbox Carts and racing them down this historic and lovely street. With hundreds of people involved directly in the event and a predicted audience of many thousands.
Lisa has played a key part in coordinating the communications between Sponsors, advertisers, printers, teams and a range of companies that are crucial to making an event like this to happen.
Her primary tasks were to help coordinate our sponsorship package, set up and publicise the event on social media, setting up Facebook & Twitter and running with the event.
We have achieved all of our targets. The sponsorship and donations have raised almost £24,000 in 3 months. The Facebook and event pages have had great penetration and produced huge interest in the event. She has had great success in communicating with 45 teams from businesses that are large, medium and small scale from right across the region.

We first commissioned The Thinking Cap to start our social media presence for our Leeds Restaurant and Take-away business. The fan base has increased and engagement has been really good. In our monthly review meetings The Thinking Cap have been very proactive at coming forward with topical monthly competitions to maintain the engagement, they also manage the artwork and even include an advert into the monthly fee. They have also been great at suggesting ways in which we can communicate the social media platforms in the restaurant by designing tent cards for the tables showing QR codes.
