Branding

A brand is a promise; it’s a promise to your customers that you are the best at what you do. It’s what builds a good reputation and helps set standards. Here at The Thinking Cap you can trust us to act as your brand ambassadors by putting value back into your corporate identity, not only in appearance but in values and ethics too.

Having clear company brand guidelines will give you consistency across your marketing activity. This is crucial if you have a large workforce across numerous sites and remote sales staff. It will ensure your marketing literature, stationery, social media profiles, presentations, signage and leaflets etc. are all consistent with your original branding.

Everyone can work to these guidelines: they are for your internal colleagues and also for any external suppliers you use, such as agencies and printers. Having easy to follow brand guidelines means that anyone involved with your brand can quickly understand what is required and you have the reassurance that what they produce will fit your corporate branding.

Over the years we have seen far too many brands get diluted and that original promise not being delivered. Your company name appears on all of your marketing materials and how this looks could be affected by a change in supplier, particularly if a job is urgent or rushed. Consider how different pieces of print might represent your brand: a large print run printed using litho, against a quick job on a few flyers which are printed digitally. These two jobs may be printed on different paper too, perhaps one on gloss and the other on matt.

Your company brand guidelines will ensure consistency online too. If you want to seize the opportunities offered by digital marketing such as social media and email campaigns, then you need everything to fit the same look. How colours appear on a screen differs to how they are printed: we understand how to use colour references correctly and can make sure your brand looks right wherever it is used. This also includes adapting any landscape logos so that they feel at home on social media too. No more long logos squeezed into a square profile picture.

Ask The Thinking Cap to work on your corporate branding and you will have a simple and invaluable set of guidelines that anyone can follow. This will give you great reassurance but also save you lots of time.

What our Branding clients say

Lisa brought a receptive and analytical mind to the branding of Wellness at Work and very quickly got a strong idea of what was needed. With very strong design ideas and a wide knowledge of the marketing industry, we have been delighted with Lisa’s work and would thoroughly recommend Thinking Cap as an adaptive, imaginative and well organised marketing company

Rick Rogers, Director

Having launched my training company, Liquorice Learning in the summer, I wanted a strong brand that was memorable, quirky and would help me stand out from the crowd.
I’d been impressed with the work Lisa does on social media, so asked The Thinking Cap to pull some designs together. Not only did I receive several great looking options to choose from, Lisa was also able to explain how different audiences react to different fonts and layouts. A couple were mocked up onto stationery and with some final some final advice on texture, I made my decision. A great service and great result – very happy!

The Thinking Cap did our company branding, from the Logo, styling through to the website, they even did the bespoke photography on the website which we were all really happy with.

In line with the website, The Thinking Cap followed all our current completed projects, they went on site and did all the internal & external photography. A project sheet template was designed which we now keep standard throughout all our completed projects. Meeting’s with Lisa are refreshing and very interesting as she comes to us with new routes to market that we like to be kept abreast with!
